“There is a gentleness and wildness to her photos that perfectly encapsulated our experiences”

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of having Danielle shoot our wedding last spring. She could not have been more warm, engaging, kind, and thoughtful throughout the entire experience. Danielle came all the way to our little town in eastern NC and first shot the sweetest photos of us in our home for an ‘engagement’ shoot a few days before the wedding, and we instantly felt like old friends as we walked, talked and captured timeless moments. For our rehearsal dinner and wedding day, I had countless comments from our friends and family on how welcoming and lovely Danielle was. We still get comments about her almost a year later! Danielle made the entire process so seamless and stress free, and her photography timeline for the day was perfect. And of course—the photos turned out beyond our wildest dreams. Danielle truly has a one-of-a-kind perspective; there is a gentleness and wildness to her photos that perfectly encapsulated our experiences of our wedding weekend. The many cameras dangling off of her hip gave us such a cool mix of photo styles that each tell the story of the day in a unique way. We couldn’t have asked for better memories to look back on—our parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles and friends, still comment on how incredibly talented Danielle is. So almost a year later, thank you thank you thank you Danielle!!!!

“SHE CAPTURED MOMENTS IN A WAY THAT REALLY SHOWED WHO WE ARE”

Danielle is a light in this world and we were incredibly lucky to have her photograph our wedding. Photos were the most important thing for us during planning, and we could not have made a better decision than working with her. Right off the bat, she took extra time to just chat and get to know us better as a couple, before even diving into the details. She combined this with her brilliant and distinctive style to magically bring out the best in us for the pictures. We are both awkward in front of the camera and can never seem to take a picture we both like, but you would never know that from looking at our wedding photos. We immediately felt comfortable with Danielle - it felt like hanging out with a friend, so we were able to relax and just have fun. She captured moments in a way that really showed who we are, and it’s been an utter joy to go through all the shots from the day. I don’t know how she did it, but she took beautiful photos of us and still managed to get a ton of coverage of the wedding and party so we could enjoy looking back at moments we missed, like our friends and family and the dance floor and their faces during our vows. Truly wonderful moments that we are so happy to get to look back on. I was thinking about a million things that day, but not once did I worry about getting “the perfect shot.” Danielle instilled confidence from our very first conversation and her passion and skill shone through in everything she did and said. On the day, she gave us helpful directions when we needed it, but mostly she just let us do our thing, and somehow still made everything look amazing. We were looking through all of her work together and after a long awe-filled silence, my husband looked up and said “these are perfect.” We had gotten many, many “perfect shots.” Danielle is one of the best gifts we could have asked for.

“her presence is so calming and loving—she’s easy to open up to”

We love Danielle for so many reasons. Danielle prioritized our happiness and comfort. She never made us pose for painfully-awkward, generic wedding photos. If you study her work, you’ll see genuine, unposed fleeting moments of heart-felt laughter, day-to-day life and tears. She captures moments most can only describe. Even her edits are true-to-life, to stay as close to the actual moment as possible. She has a natural way of invoking feelings of nostalgia through her work. Nothing about her photography style is cookie-cutter. She’s a great listener. She sent a questionnaire months in advance to understand how we envisioned our love captured. She is intentional & personalizes her preparation. She cares about what we want and brought it all to life. Danielle is kind, patient, generous beyond belief and passionate. She’s as wonderful a friend as she is a photographer. She cares about the people she works with. At no point did we ever feel she was just “there to do her job”. Her presence is so calming and loving - she’s easy to open up to. She showed up days before to get to know our family. We’re so happy she spent time with us - when the camera came out, everyone felt relaxed and comfortable around her. She is more talented than any other photographer we’ve ever studied the work of - so much so, our entire family is still swooning over the photos and have unanimously decided we want her to be the artist that captures our stories for the rest of forever. We will always recommend her. If you’re on the fence, choose her. She won’t let you down. She’s worth every penny. You’re going to see your pictures blown up on your wall one day and you’ll be happy you trusted her. She exceeds expectations. She is a natural storyteller - just take a look at her work! We felt so much warmth and love looking through the moments she captured. We’re so grateful for Danielle.

“SHE BRINGS THAT BEAUTIFUL, WARM, GLOWING ENERGY TO HER SHOOTS AND YOU FEEL IT”

I’ve been a photographer for almost 2 decades and I wouldn’t trust many others with my most important moments to be documented (mine or my clients). That is to say, it is a big deal to me to feel the amount of trust and care that I do with Danielle, who has photographed my family many times over the years AND second shot for a wedding once for me. I was very freshly postpartum and this was an incredibly high profile, important wedding client.. I knew that I had to hire the absolute best person to take my place while pumping throughout the day (needless to say, she was the best investment I made in my team that day). Danielle is very talented when it comes to the technical aspects of shooting, yes. I love that she shoots film. But even best of all, Danielle’s soul is a light and she brings that beautiful, warm, glowing energy to her shoots and you feel it.. and it shines through in the photos she takes of you. It’s the quality that I know is most important to creating an incredible experience when it comes to photography (weddings or families). And she has it. She is worth every penny and more. If you are considering hiring her, do not go elsewhere.. your future self will thank you over and over again every time you look through your photos.

“THE MEMORIES SHE CAPTURED FOR US WILL BRING ME HAPPINESS FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE”

Danielle is so talented, and was the reason I finally told my husband “ok, having our wedding was worth it” because the memories that she captured for us will bring me happiness for the rest of my life. I truly could not recommend her any higher. You will treasure the moments that she captures for you. She has an incredible way of recording joy, love, and human-ness that should be in a museum, honestly. Thank you Danielle for sharing your gift with the world!

“SHE BROUGHT A CALMING PRESENCE THAT REMINDED US OF THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING PRESENT WITH EACH OTHER”

We will forever feel grateful that our paths crossed. From our initial conversation we knew we wanted to work with Danielle. She immediately put us at ease and was genuinely interested in getting to know us and how we envisioned our wedding. By our wedding day, Danielle felt like a close friend. She brought a calming presence that reminded us of the importance of being present with each other on a day that can go by in the blink of an eye. Her ability to capture every moment (both big and small) speaks to her endless talent. We will always look back on our wedding day as a time filled with so much happiness, love, and support and Danielle played a big part in that.

“SHE MADE US LOOK LIKE SUPERSTARS”

Danielle is such a joy to be around, when she was photographing us it felt like we were just hanging out with a friend even though we had just met. What pulled us into her work was her candid photography style capturing honest moments. My husband and I don’t like getting our picture taken too much and I like when photos are more natural, and she excels in that. For our engagement shoot, she photographed us in the fall in our condo and neighborhood in Chicago, including the 606, which are locations we are quite comfortable in and will look back on with fond memories. On our wedding day, we had time to ourselves away from the wedding crowd for a quick golden hour session, and then outside of that she was stealthily capturing moments throughout the wedding! The photos turned out amazing, she captured the happy mood of the wedding and made us look like superstars. I would definitely hire her again if we have other moments we want to capture, in the meanwhile I will be framing these photos to look back on.

“I’m so grateful for these photos of a special chapter of our lives”

Danielle was an absolute dream to work with. Immediately, we were drawn to the warmth and honesty of her images and the way she values storytelling over posing. Danielle set up a call for us to talk about our vision before the shoot, so we knew we would be on the same page even before she arrived at our home to take photos. She hung out with us for 3 full hours, shooting all over our home and several nearby spots that were meaningful to us. I’m so grateful for these photos of a special chapter in our lives that is ending soon, but will be documented forever! We couldn’t be happier with the overall experience, and we have already booked Danielle to come to our home again to take newborn photos once our little one is here in just a few short weeks. We can’t recommend her work highly enough!
